When vessels evolve—new equipment, altered load paths, or life-extension—hull and girder modifications keep the structure compliant and safe. We plan and execute cut-outs, insert plates, new stiffeners, and local reinforcements while controlling heat input, distortion, and alignment.
What we do

Cut-out & insert renewals
Controlled removals and precise inserts with proper edge prep, backing strips where required, and multi-pass welding to restore thickness and structural integrity.

Stiffener/girder works
Fabrication and fit-up of new longitudinal/transverse members, installing doublers and collars, and shaping scallops to maintain load transfer and access for inspection.

Load-path changes
Engineering and building machinery foundations, brackets, and tie-ins that redirect forces safely to existing structure, verified by alignment checks and NDT.

Fairing & alignment
Sequenced welding with strongbacks, jigs, and local heat control to keep panels fair and within tolerance; final straightness and flatness confirmed by measurement.

Class coordination
Provide WPS/PQR, material traceability, NDT reports, and dimensional records, supporting smooth class approvals and clear as-built documentation.
