Governor adjustment involves setting the speed reference, adjusting the droop (or load control) for isochronous or proportional speed, and setting the load limit to prevent excessive fuel. Adjustments are made by rotating specific controls or indicator dials on the governor, but specific procedures, like ensuring no binding in the linkage and checking for overtravel, are carried out at our shop and we make all the necessary testing tuning and calibration in our shop with the help of our test bench. We also use authorised original spares.The static and dynamic parts of the governor , in due course of time undergoes wear and tear and accumulation of sludge and dirt owing to the extreme conditions that they operate in. This results in erratic functioning of speed governor and therefore requires overhaul and calibration.
